八ケ島原湿原は霧ケ峰北西の八島高原にある。海抜１６００ｍにあり、
亜高山帯の動植物が数多く生息している。 尾瀬沼よりやや小さいが、
その形成はずっと古く、約１２０００年前と言われる高層湿原である。
南北約６００ｍ、東西約１０００ｍにおよび、一周９０分ほどかかる。
都会をはなれ、花々をみながらのゆっくりした散策がおすすめです。
諏訪湖から車で１時間、美ヶ原からも"ビーナスライン"で１時間弱。
（中央道・岡谷・諏訪から、上信越道・東部等からも車可能）

Yashima heights is located on the north west of Kirigamine mountains in Nagano pref,about one hours from the Suwa Lake by car. Yashima heights is 1600m above sea level and has the continental climate like Siberia, they say,effected between the Japan Sea and the Pacific. Therefore we can see boreal flora and fauna such as alpine flowers etc. Yashima heights has Yashimagahara bog,an oval shape,the north to south of length of 600m,the east to west length of 1000m. It is slightly smaller than the famous Oze-numa,but older than the Oze-numa, created about 12,000 years ago. We can walk around this bog in nearly 90 minutes along the promenade ways. I recommend you to enjoy walking around Yashimagahara bog! (You can reach there from Utsukushighara heights via Venus-line and Suwa or Okaya by Chuou Highway,alse Tobu.etc by Jyoushinetu Highway.) |
