美ヶ原高原は長野県の中央部に広がり、３６０度のパノラマが実に素晴らしい。
高原一帯には植物が数百種あり、８月には花々が咲き乱れて最盛期となる。
尾崎喜八は「美ヶ原溶岩台地」でうたっている。
登りついて不意にひらけた眼前の風景に
しばらくは世界の天井が抜けたかと思う
（長野道・松本から約１時間。上信越道・東部等からも車可能）
ヴィーナスライン経由で霧ケ峰・八島ケ原湿原へ行かれます。

Utsukushigahara hights is located in the middle of Nagano pref.
There is a 360 degree panoramic view of Japanese mountain ranges.
And huge variety of flowers are in full bloom in July and August.
Poet "Ozaki Kihachi" wrote in his poem "Utsukushigahara lava tableland";
All of a sudden, struck me the panoramic view when I climbed....
the sky might had been opened out more for a while, it seemed.*
(about 1 hour from Matumoto interchage: Nagano hightway.
....Also Tobu.etc. interchange: Jyoushinetu Highway....
I recommend, you should come here in late July and August.)
You can go to Kirigamine Yashimagahara bog easily by car.
