国宝・松本城の概要
白と黒のコントラストが美しい松本城は別名「烏城」と呼ぶ。
松本城は松本平に立地する平城である。城郭とともに城下町が
計画的に設置され、水堀のほかに、市内にはその面影が残る。
天守閣は５重６層で小天守・辰巳櫓・月見櫓があり、素晴らし
い均整を保っている。外壁は白漆くいの上部と、黒の下見板ば
り下部からできているほか、銃眼や石落としを備え、当時の武
装を反映している。
天守閣は国宝に指定してされており、１５９０年代の建造で石
川数正によるものが、現在の松本城の原型であると言われてる。
日本アルプスを背景とした松本城は多くの人を魅きつてている。

MATSUMOTO CASTLE (National treasure)
Matsumoto castle is the castle build on Matsumoto plains.
This castle is surrounded by moats for defense. In 1593
Ishikawa Clan,who dominated this districet have costruct-
ed this style.(1588 Spanish Armada defeated by British's)
This donjon has 5 layers,6 floors and consist of 5 parts.
There are many loopholes on the outer walls that were for
musketeers and archers.
You can see some squares through which defenders could d-
ropped to enemies climbing up the stone walls.
The castle stands on gently sloped stone walls,rough ,co-
arse and asymmetrical. They are strong and drain well.
This castle with the Japan Alps for a background atracts a
lot of people throughout the world.
